Chinese
Modern Dance
A
special performance was performed on stage at Chinatown on
11/28/03 for the Thanksgiving festival, choreographed by
Rosa Yeh. This performance is a combination of music and
dance from children ages 8 to 11.
Dance
music was adopted from part of the Raindrops Quartet and
the fourth movement of Flute Trio. Both pieces were composed
by 8-year-old Conrad Tao. The performers of both pieces were
between ages 8 to 11.
The dance integrates traditional and modern Chinese dance. Young dancers, aged
8 to 10, wore traditional Chinese sleeve ribbons representing the process of
rain and expressing the flower blossom after rain. |
